I’ll probably do my travel thing of babbling via voice dictation into Google Docs and then writing blog posts after the fact, but I haven’t even had time to do the babbling. Maybe this morning.

I flew out Friday night, arrived in the UK Saturday morning, bus down to Buxton, all quite painless. The big issue was that I’d be ‘unhoused’ for Saturday morning, schlepping around big luggages, but my dear friends the Bartons took me into their lovely home, made me coffee and fed me lunch too before I got the code to get into my airBNB.

I’ve never done the ‘self-catering’ thing in Buxton before, but I’m really liking it. More detail on my place later, but I have a teeny little house – living room and kitchen downstairs, two small bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. It’s working out great! Only minor problem is it’s on the other side of the hill from everything I need to get to.

Happy reunions with many old friends from many different places. We’ve been rehearsing “The Zoo” for one and a half days. The show (only 40 minutes long) is blocked now, today we’ll be doing several runs. Show goes up tomorrow, eek. It’s a ton of fun. Then we go into rehearsals for Pinafore.
