OK, let’s see.

I finished the latest season of Drag Race All Stars. I skipped the finale, I already knew who won (I like her) and I don’t care about lipsync battles. I will say that putting Silky Nutmeg Ganache on my TV again was as irritating as I expected it to be.

Just started to watch the new season of Reacher, having recently finished my publication-order tour of the books. Me, watching: “is this the one where… oh, yeah, it is… oh f*ck”. It’s gonna get pretty gruesome. But it’s still a great show. For some reason, they’ve filmed it in Philadelphia, though the book is set in New York. The opening scene takes place on the subway. Philly does have a subway, but it’s rudimentary. I guess it’s possible Reacher would take it.

I thought The Other Bennet Sister was going to get depressing, but I like it. I’m looking forward to Mrs. Bennet’s eventual smackdown (if it happens). Also, her other awful sisters.

Slowly watching the old miniseries of Brideshead Revisited. I will definitely have a blog post/essay down the line about the amazingly arch queer character.

Have started watching The Sopranos again. Fantastic. (I never did finish the last season – good excuse to start at the beginning again.) Have also started a rewatch of Ted Lasso, because of the new season, and because I am pro-joy. Speaking of Hanna Waddingham, also have started Ride or Die, which is a lot of fun.

Continuing to watch House of the Dragon. Just finished (rewatching) Season 1. Forgot how that ended. Heh-heh-heh, this is going to get good.

Missing The Pitt and other medical shows, have started watching ER from the beginning. Look at those babies. Noah Wylie should practically be in the NICU unit.

Dark Winds is excellent. I’ve read a couple of the Tony Hillerman books, but not enough to be annoyed by the changes they make.

Stuart Fails to Save the Universe: a lot of people hate it. I think it’s hilarious. Reminds me that I never did finish watching The Big Bang Theory and should pick that up again.

Heated Rivalry: OK, so I’d waited until I read Game Changer (the first book in the series) and then Heated Rivalry (the second) before tackling it. I’ve really liked it so far. The third episode, which I watched last week, steps away from Ilya and Shane and gives us the story of Scott and Kip from the first book (although not completing it yet). It’s so delightful, the cast is great and it’s really well-done. But I will say, these books are not anywhere near the top tier of quality MM romance I’ve read, so I am kind of screaming at the TV saying, if you could adapt this, why aren’t you tackling Adrien English or Cat Sebastian’s historicals or Amy Lane’s Bonfires or, for gosh sake, anything by KJ Charles. Arggh. Once I’m rich, man, I’m funding all of these.

Apparently, though, they are moving ahead with my favorite MF romance author’s Knockemout series as a TV show. That’s gonna be fun.

Disney: Behind the Attraction is goofy (hahaha, that wasn’t intended), but is giving the backstory I like. When I run out of that, I’ll turn to their Imagineering series. Speaking of which, I just saw this picture which shows where they’re developing two new ‘worlds’ at Walt Disney World and it clearly shows what the ‘back’ of WDW looks like. Like the actual buildings housing Be Our Guest and the Haunted Mansion, which of course you don’t see when you’re approaching them from the park, you just see the facades.

Isn’t that cool? Since I was just there, I spent quite a bit of time looking at this and going, ‘oh, that’s the back of this, and that’s where that is…’ Anyway, one of the two new worlds is “Villain’s Land” and one is a CARS-themed area, “Piston Peak”.
